Power Electric is a local, family-owned business that Steve Davidson started right here in Hampton Roads in 1985. Led today by Steve and his son Dalton, every project is backed by a team that lives and works in the community it serves.

Steve Davidson
Founder & Owner
Steve Davidson founded Power Electric Company in 1985 and built it from the ground up right here in Hampton Roads. A Virginia Tech graduate and former Hokies wrestler, Steve built the company on honest work, hard work and treating every customer like family — values that still guide every job today.
Dalton Davidson
Vice President
Dalton Davidson, Steve's son, carries the family business forward as Vice President. Like his father, Dalton is a Virginia Tech graduate who wrestled for the Hokies, and he brings that same discipline and work ethic to every project across Hampton Roads: show up, do the job right, and treat every customer like family.

Power Electric isn't a national chain or an out-of-town outfit. We're a local, family-owned business that started here in Hampton Roads, and we've spent decades serving the businesses, institutions and neighbors that make this region home — from Chesapeake and Norfolk to the Peninsula, the Eastern Shore and northeastern North Carolina.
That long history is built on relationships. We answer the phone, we show up when we say we will, and we stand behind our work — because when your name is on the truck, every job is personal.

Experienced electricians and apprentices who install, troubleshoot and maintain commercial and industrial systems safely and to code.
Generator & specialty techs
Specialists for standby generator installation, transfer switches, fiber splicing and high-voltage terminations.
Office & support
The team in our Chesapeake office who answer your call, schedule crews and keep projects, permits and paperwork moving.
